Mesothelioma

Mesothelioma is a rare form of cancer that develops in the mesothelium lining that covers the internal organs. The most common form of mesothelioma is pleural mesothelioma which is a cancer in the lining of the lung. Asbestos exposure is the sole cause of pleural mesothelioma.

Lung cancer is a cancer in the lungs. Asbestos exposure significantly increases the likelihood of getting lung cancer but is often not the sole cause.
